What materials are used for high temperature dynamic seals?

We use a range of high-performance alloys including stainless steel and heat-resistant superalloys. These materials are selected for their ability to perform in high temperature and high-pressure environments typical of turbo exhaust systems.

Dynamic seals maintain sealing while one part moves against another (e.g., shaft rotation or axial movement). Static seals, by contrast, seal between fixed parts. The demands on dynamic sealing are greater, especially in high-speed, high-temperature applications like turbochargers.

We regularly manufacture rings with diameters as small as 6 mm (0.25”), and we can go smaller depending on the design and material.
